21 Nov Swap Your Closet Recap
Last week I hosted Swap Your Closet with ClosetDash Shop and it was a major success. Tickets sold out and the afternoon was full of fashion, fun and cocktails. If you couldn’t attend, here’s the recap.
The crowd varied from a mother and daughter duo to women in their 20s to 50s. But they were all looking to swap unwanted accessories and update their style.
Before the crowd descended upon ClosetDash Shop, we made sure to set the scene and have the giveaways on display.
We knew the ladies would need to keep their energy level up, so we provided light bites and sangria. Lost Vineyards is seriously one of my fave, super affordable {just $4} bottles of sangria.
As the crowd entered, the ladies presented their items to be swapped and looked around for the new to them pieces they wanted to take home.

Throughout the afternoon, we raffled off some amazing prizes, including gift cards from Housing Works, statement accessories from Frugal Finds NYC and handmade clay beaded jewels from Jilzara.
{with Jennifer from ClosetDash Shop and the Housing Works gift card winner}
{Liz, the creator of Frugal Finds NYC, was on hand to talk about her affordable jewelry line as well as pose with the winner of the bold necklace}
{and one lucky lady snagged two prizes: Housing Works gift card and a necklace, earrings and bracelet set from Jilzara}
And some of the ladies were more than happy to show off their newly swapped finds.

Thanks again to everyone who came out. And be sure to check out my Facebook page for more photos from Swap Your Closet. The items that weren’t swapped during the event were donated to Housing Works.
I’ll be hosting another NYC event on December 6. Stay tuned for full details, but just a hint, it’s called Ready, Set, Thrift!

Posted at 23:03h, 24 NovemberI had an excellent time. All of the ladies were nice and I left out with some great swaps! I adore my new necklace from Frugal Finds and I plan on wearing it during the month of Dec for my birthday. I felt like I won the lotto! Also the girl with the fur on who won the two prizes touched me as I left the event. She saw that I scooped up her swapped preppy blazer and told me “Enjoy it” I loved that moment!
Thanks for a good time everyone!!
